Money and Relationships

So back to my failed relationship. Well, it's over, except for one small thing. The fucking asshole owes me $2400.00, yes folks, thousands of dollars. Yeah, I know, I'm stupid, never mix money and relationships. But, it was supposed to be a short-term thing, till he got his bonus check, and then, well, I never got paid back. Now the jerk won't respond to emails, phone calls, nothing, and refuses to pay me back. What kind of decent human being does this? I have done nothing to this guy, nothing, and this is what i deserve, for being nice?!?! Wow.

if anyone out there has some advice as to how to tackle this problem, please let me know. I'm in a state of shock and anger right now.

Completely un-related sidenote, but I did my laundry last night, and I think it's confirmed that I am a professional at losing socks. I must have at least 6 loner socks now in my sock pile. Is it wrong to pair up two loners and have a make-shift pair?

Also, completely un-related, but I have 2 midterms and 2 finals next week, and I think I am the most unmotivated underachieving student at CBS. i have my job, my summer and basically full-time gig is set ( as the full-time offer is essentially mine to lose at this point, so I have it, unless i ROYALLY screw up). And, well, operations doesnt sound like the most exciting class to study for. Call me crazy, marketing programs isnt that inspiring either, especially since I'm goign into banking.

That's definitely very tough. I have been in a very similar situation, though the reverse because the guy accused me of owing him money and refused to give me back things that were definitely mine (bought by my mother). So I got a little taste of divorce. What worked in my case was that my mother got so angry she decided to call him, so I told him she was going to call him to ask back for the stuff she had paid, and he got so ashamed that he gave everything back immediately.

In your case it might be different because it was short-term and your parents might not know him. In any case authority usually works, try to find a friend who is a lawyer to send him an official letter demanding him to pay back, this is what works best because it can be used in court and usually is enough to scare these people. Good luck!

ps: also thanks for the IB recruiting information, congratulations!
